The Wauwatosa West track and field team took 9th place in the GMC Indoor meet. The meet was highlighted by senior Josh Riebe who placed 3rd in the 55 meter high hurdles and 4th in the 55 meter low hurdles. Junior Jimmy Fuhrman threw a career best throw of 46′ 2″ 1/2 inches, good enough for a 5th place finish. Sophmore Nate Morse-Caruso finished 6th in the 200 m dash with a time of 25.13The relay teams had a nice night for West as the 4×800 relay team of Josh Cash, Jeremiah Cash, Caleb Tracey, and Ngaru Nen finished 3rd with a time of 8:48.97. The 4 x 240 team of Juwuan Mean, Mickey Schaeffer, Gerald Dawson, and Logan Ertl finished 5th with a time of 2:10.92. The 4 x 160 team of Juwuan Mean, Morse-Caruso, Savon Norrington, and Gio Faraciano took 4th place with a time of 1:21.75. Finally the 4 x 400 team of Cash, Cash, Norrington, and Tracey took 7th with a time of 3:55.01 The boys left a lot of points out there on the track and look forward to improving for the conference outdoor meet.
