Coed Varsity Wrestling · Wrestling Summer Lifting and Open Wrestling Schedule Set

It is time to start thinking about summer.  We are only a little more than a month away from the start of summer lifting.  Attached is the flyer and waiver form for our summer lifting program.  This year, we will be running the program out of Tosa West on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 3:30-5:00 p.m.  The program will once again be lead by Matthew Morin, who is a certified personal trainer and the former strength and conditioning coach for the Duke University wrestling team.  He has run our lifting program for the past ten years and has done a fabulous job.  Assisting him this year will be former Tosa wrestlers Colin Bertz and Zach Miller.

All high school and middle school wrestlers are welcome and highly encouraged to attend.  I guarantee you that if you commit to the program, you will definitely be stronger at the end of the summer.  You do not need to be an experienced lifter to participate.  Every year we have 5-10 new lifters that we teach how to lift properly and appropriately for their level of development.

Please feel free to call me with any questions that you have.  Address to send your registration to is on the bottom of the waiver form.  The cost of the 10 week program is $85 but if the cost is a problem, please just talk to me.

I’m also happy to announce that Coaches Mark Vanden Avond and Nick Morin will be running open wrestling this summer on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Tosa West wrestling room.  The first day will also be June 11th.  There is no charge for this and all HS and MS wrestlers are encouraged to attend.  There will be instruction and opportunities for live wrestling.
