Game Recap

Wauwatosa West’s pool consisted of Germantown, Cedarburg, and Greenfield in the Homestead tournament. West started off with Cedarburg and played well in game one winning 25-15. The second game they still played well, but took their foot off the gas towards the end of the game almost allowing Cedarburg to come back. West won 25-21. The next match against Germantown was a different story. We came out with some energy, but once we were down in both games it quickly evaporated. West got caught in a couple rotations, where big runs were made and the games were over quick 14-25, 12-25. Last pool play match was Greenfield. West came out excited and ready to play beating them easily 25-11. Second game West ran a six two rotation and the game went just as smooth winning 25-12. West took 2nd in their pool and made it to the championship side of the bracket to face Appleton North. The dominant middle and consistent play of Appleton North took control of the first game, they won 25-12. The second game West had better passing and overall more consistent play, making it a closer game, but still losing 25-18. West ended the tournament with an overall record of 4-4.
