The Tosa West girls basketball team was unable to recreate the magic from the previous night as they fell to DSHA 69-35 on Tuesday night. The Trojans struggled to get any offense going in the first half, scoring a season low 7 points. They got the offense going in the 2nd half but it wasn’t enough to cut into the deficit. The loss ends the season for the Trojans who finish the season 16-11 overall. There is a lot for the girls to be proud of. It was the first winning season for Tosa West girls since the 2011-12 season when they went 13-12. It was the most wins since the 2009-10 season when the team was 17-7 overall. The girls had 7 conference wins this year, the most since joining the Greater Metro Conference, and they got 2 more wins against conference teams in the playoffs as they defeated both Tosa East and Brookfield Central in regionals. A special thanks to the 6 seniors who helped make this great season possible, Annie Kleier, Katie McCabe, Janessa Runyan, Janessa Keenan, Jordan Morrissey, and Taylor Tagliavia. You will be missed!
