The girls basketball team lost to Sussex Hamilton on Friday night by a score of 67-53. It was a large improvement from the first time the girls played Sussex back on December 14th. On the 14th, the Trojans trailed 36-9 at halftime and lost the game 64-19. On Friday night, the halftime lead was only 30-26 in favor of the Chargers. Still, the Chargers had too much offense and eventually pulled away late in the second half. The Trojans had one of their most balanced games offensively. Kayleigh Reske led the team with 10 points. Maggie Kleier had 9 points, while Janessa Runyan and Irene Phillips both had 8 points. Kalyah Allen chipped in 7 points and Olivia Bree had 6 points. Katie McCabe scored 3 points and Kayla Stoffel added 2 points to round out the scoring for the Trojans. Next up for Tosa West is a home game against Brookfield Central on Tuesday at 7:15. It is also senior night and the team will be honoring Irene Phillips, Kayleigh Reske, and Kayla Stoffel.
