5 Wrestlers Earn Academic All-State Honors!

Congratulations to five wrestlers who recieved 20018-2019 Wisconsin Academic All-State Honors.  Earning 2nd team All-State honors was junior Ben Acker.  Earning honorable mention all-state honors were seniors Austin Ertl and Rhetley Jones, junior Jaden Anderson, and sophomore Simon Doyle.  Congratulations wrestlers on not only succeeding on the mat but also in the classroom!

Summer wrestling and lifting program is set

High school and middle school wrestlers, It is time to start thinking about summer.  We are only a little more than a month away from the start of summer lifting.  This year, we will be running the program out of Tosa West on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1:30-3:00 p.m.  The program will once again be

Christian Beyer takes 6th at Greco-Roman State Wrestling Tournament

Congratulations to Christian Beyer who took 6th place, earning all-state honors, at the WWF Greco-Roman State Wrestling Tournament.  Competing in the toughest weight class in the tournament, Christian pulled off some terrific throws to earn his all-state honors.  To accomplish this feat in just his sophomore year is a major accomplishment.  Congratulations Christian Beyer!

Wrestling Coaches Morin & Bauer Voted “District 7 Coaches of the Year”

The combined efforts of Corey Bauer and Kent Morin continue to drive Tosa Wrestling both on and off the mat.  This year’s varsity lineup consisted of 10 wrestlers with little or no previous varsity experience that included 4 Freshman and 5 Sophomores.  Coach Morin reached a big milestone with his 300th career win this season. 

Tosa West Grad Justin Folley Takes 7th in NCAA D-2 Nationals

Tosa West graduate Justin Folley earned All-American status on March 23rd by taking 7th in the NCAA Division 2 National Wrestling Championships in Cleveland, Ohio.  Folley, wrestling for Upper Iowa College, finished the year with a 31-9 record.  This is the third time that Folley has earned All-American status with him having earned it twice

Athlete of the Week #16 – Austin Ertl

Week #16 AUSTIN ERTL Wrestling On Saturday, February 23rd, Senior Austin Ertl took 4th Place at the WIAA State Wrestling Tournament in the 285 weight class. His accomplishments this year include Greater Metro Conference Champion, Regional Champion and Sectional Champion. In addition, Austin was selected 1st Team All-Conference. Congratulations Austin!

Austin Ertl Takes 4th in State Wrestling Tournament!

Austin Ertl put together a great showing at the WIAA State Wrestling Championship.  He opened with a 3-1 decision over Alex Nachtigall of Watertown.  Then in the quarterfinals, he dominated Tim Ladeine from Milwaukee Lutheran with a 6-1 decision.  In the semis, he had a terrific match against Max Meeuwsen of Bay Port, who was

Austin Ertl Qualifies for State Wrestling Tournament

Austin Ertl qualified for the WIAA State Tournament on Feb. 21-23 by winning the sectional tournament last Saturday.  He recorded pins in the quarter and semi-finals before winning in the finals by a 4-1 decision.  He improved his record to 44-3 on the season and is currently the #3 ranked wrestler in the state.  Two

Wrestlers win Regional Championship!

Congratulations to the wrestling team who won the Regional Tournament on Saturday.  They scored 224 points to easily outpace runner-up Muskego, who scored 190 points, and third place finisher Whitnall/Greendale at 189.  Leading the way by winning individual regional championships were Dayton Lewis, Simon Doyle, and Austin Ertl.  Runner-up finishes went to Ben Acker, Rhetley
